London Art & Culture

Go to a gig. If you’re a lover of live music then you’ll likely be well acquainted with Sofar Sounds, a global music community that connects artists and audiences. Neither the artist or the exact location of the gig is revealed until 36 hours before each event but we can tell you that there’s 25 concerts over the next 7 days, across London, in areas including Mayfair, Brixton, Elephant & Castle and Hackney. Check out their instagram to be kept in the know.

Enjoy a festive themed musical such as ELF the smash-hit Christmas musical based on the beloved film which returns to London’s Dominion Theatre next week on the 14th November and runs until the 7th January. ELF is the funny and charming tale of Buddy, who mistakenly crawled into Santa’s bag as a baby and was raised as an elf!

Soothe your soul at Southwark Playhouse on the 13th November as international concert violinist and local Southwark resident, Alda Dizdari, performs her intimate new album that captures the reflective mood of the nation. The album, which is called The Words Of The Candle, contains some of the most beautiful tunes written for the solo violin, and duets with harpist, Camilla Pay. It is said to pay tribute to the passing of a great monarch, a nation trying to heal after a traumatic pandemic and it reflects on the feelings of love and hope and the spirit of revival.
