Shining a light on the next 7 days of London life

ART & CULTURE

Take a trip to Camden Image Gallery for “Flower Obsessions”. Previously presented in Milan at MyMicroGallery and in Venice at Stefania Carrozzini Gallery, this is a group exhibition composed of ten artists of different nationalities and expressive means including photography, painting, installation and collage and it opens on Thursday 10th November for 9 days.

Explore the possibilities of ceramics at the Strange Clay exhibition at Southbank. The artworks on show vary in scale, finish and technique, and address topics that range from architecture, to social justice, the body, the domestic and the organic. Featuring 23 international artists working across recent decades, the exhibition displays pieces which encompass fantastical creatures and uncanny representations of the everyday, as well as ranging from small abstract works to large-scale installations that take the medium beyond the kiln.

It’s your last chance to check out Human Stories: The Satirists, at NOW Gallery in Greenwich Peninsula. Running until the 13th November, the exhibition showcases a group show of emerging photographic talent, exploring the concept of satire through photography, and particularly how it is used to develop and nurture interconnected, diverse identities, gender, race and class. The show brings together a diverse body of work that challenges historical and culturally biased tropes and stereotypes by presenting an alternative world view, using satire as a tool.

Discover the art of menswear at the V&A in South Kensington this weekend. At a moment of unprecedented creativity in men's fashion, Fashioning Masculinities; The Art Of Menswear explores how designers, tailors and artists – and their clients and sitters – have constructed and performed masculinity, and unpicked it at the seams. Highlights include sewing your own customisable shirt and learning about the hidden meanings behind the colour of clothes through the ages. On until Sunday, 6th November.

Check in to One Hundred Shoreditch to see the Accidentally Wes Anderson Postcards exhibition produced by Laurence King Publishing and curated by Wally Koval, creator of the highly acclaimed Instagram account and 2020 best-selling book. The exhibition will take you on a city-hopping sensory adventure through the eyes of the award-winning director. From Tokyo to Ohio, step inside the photographs via immersive 3D model recreations of the postcards' scenes.
